Student Workers

Arjun Agostinho is a junior at Tufts University studying International Relations and History. On campus, he is involved with the South Asian Regional Committee and the club tennis team. He is interested in using research and data to support work in the public interest, with a particular focus on humanitarianism, refugee issues, and international development. Arjun also interns at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where he helps manage and organize cases related to federal accountability. Outside of school and work, Arjun enjoys going on runs, reading books, playing tennis, and spending time with friends.

Devon Chang is a senior at Tufts University studying Sociology and International Relations, with a focus on globalization. She examines how global forces such as migration and technological change continue to reshape societies’ negotiations of pluralism and integration. She sees communication as the critical bridge between complex debates and the publics they affect. She is also a Section Editor at The Tufts Observer and has served as a Policy Fellow with the Tufts AI Safety Student Association, where she examines governance frameworks for frontier AI. Devon works as a communications assistant for CEVIHE.

Rivkah Chaouat Kelley is a second year student in the Tufts Philosophy MA program. She received her BA in Philosophy from Boston University in 2025, and hopes to continue studying at the doctoral level. Her main philosophical interests are in Ancient Philosophy, specifically Plato’s moral psychology, and Jewish religious thought. More broadly, she is interested in thinking about the places where metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics all coincide. Currently, she is working on a paper about the concept of self-deception through an analysis of Socrates’ five soul archetypes in the Republic. In her free time, she enjoys studying new languages in order to read primary texts in their original form; she is a fluent French speaker, has studied Latin, and is now learning both Hebrew and Attic Greek. Outside of academics, she competes in powerlifting and loves to read novels (some of her favorite authors are Thomas Mann and Leo Tolstoy).

Whitney Critchfield is a senior at Tufts University studying Biology. She is interested in ecology and conservation and plans to pursue a career at the intersection of biology and law.  Critchfield also studies Spanish at Tufts and spent her junior fall in Madrid, Spain, immersed in the language and culture. Critchfield is active in civic engagement at Tufts. She is a co-founder and the current President of the Tufts Tribune as well as co-president of the Tufts Federalist Society. Outside of academics, Critchfield is a coxswain on the Men’s Varsity rowing team. Critchfield is a native of Florida, but spent time living in central Iowa and suburban Washington, DC during her childhood. Whitney works as a research assistant for CEVIHE.

Lucy Morisse-Corsetti is a senior at Tufts University studying Political Science and Economics with a minor in Finance. On campus, she is a member of Tufts Public Opinion Lab, serves on the executive board of Chi Omega, and is a member of Tufts Ethics Bowl. Her research interests include public opinion, gender, and partisanship. Lucy works as a research assistant for CEVIHE.

Nicholas Dohr is a senior at Tufts University majoring in Political Science and Civic Studies with a focus on Latin America. Nick has worked in both the state legislature and the state executive office, focusing on policy and helping constituents as he explores his future. He also conducted research with Professor Eitan Hersh in Summer 2025 on volunteering and civic activism. In his free time, he is one of the executive organizers of TEDxTufts, helping to plan, coordinate, and facilitate the annual conference his team hosts. He is also a competitive cyclist and will spend his upcoming summer racing in Belgium. He contributes to the Tufts athletic community through his work with Jumbocast, where he comments on sports games, and with the Tufts Athletics Communications department. Nick works as an event planning and administrative assistant for CEVIHE.

Gretta Goorno is a senior at Tufts University majoring in Political Science and History. On campus, she has served as the Executive Opinion Editor and a Managing Editor for The Tufts Daily, helping students, alumni, and residents of Medford and Somerville articulate their beliefs and ensuring journalistic integrity across all departments of the newspaper. Last summer, Gretta served as a Congressional intern in Washington, D.C., for Rhode Island Representative Gabe Amo. She also plays club ice hockey for Tufts and enjoys listening to music and swimming in the Mystic. Gretta works as an administrative and research assistant for CEVIHE.

Cooper Kolehmainen is a junior at Tufts University studying Economics and International
Relations. He is the cofounder of KG Industries, a sourcing and export business that introduces
select U.S. goods to new international markets. On campus, he serves as Head of Operations for the Tufts Capital Research Group, which conducts semester-long market due diligence projects for private equity firms, and as SVP of Strategy for Tufts Venture Partners, where he sources startups for venture capital firms. Cooper is especially interested in the global business landscape and in how different cultures, peoples, and ideas intersect. Cooper works as a photographer for CEVIHE.

Nicole Mousad is a junior from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, who is studying Political Science and Spanish. She is the Co-Founder and Co-President of Homelessness Outreach and Meal Equity (HOME), which serves local unhoused and low-income communities through group volunteer trips to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and food pantries. She serves as Vice President of the Tufts Federalist Society, which hosts debates and panel discussions on pressing political and social issues and brings in speakers from across the political spectrum. Nicole is also the media director for the Tufts Tribune, a free speech publication dedicated to covering diverse perspectives. As part of her coursework, she is involved in the Tufts Education and Reentry Network (MyTERN), which supports returning citizens through community building, restorative justice, and education. Nicole works as an administrative and research assistant for CEVIHE.

Catie Samaan is a senior studying Political Science and Philosophy. She is a member and former Philanthropy Chair of ATO, a Leader for Tufts Wilderness Orientation, a Treasurer of Planned Parenthood Action, a Social Chair for Club Ice Hockey, and a Volunteer Tutor for Potencia and Hillel Community Action Partners. She is currently interning on the climate finance team at Bloomberg. Catie works as an administrative and research assistant for CEVIHE.

Krishi Shah is a graduate student at Tufts University pursuing a Master of Science in Innovation
and Management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Robotics and Automation Engineering from Symbiosis International University, India. Combining technical knowledge with creative
thinking, she is passionate about marketing, branding, blogging, and understanding how brands
connect with people. Krishi gained hands-on marketing experience at A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies, working on digital content, website optimization, and chatbot development. She also co-founded Krymé, a high-protein ice cream concept developed during her graduate journey, where she explored entrepreneurship, product innovation, and go-to-market strategy. Outside academics and work, Krishi loves traveling, discovering new places, and exploring different cuisines. A huge foodie, she is always excited to try new restaurants and flavors. She enjoys creative projects, experimenting with new activities, and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. Social, curious, and enthusiastic, Krishi loves exchanging ideas, learning new things, and turning everyday experiences into stories worth sharing. She is a communications assistant at CEVIHE.

Michael Onysko is a senior at Tufts, double-majoring in Political Science and International Relations with a pre-law interest. He serves as a Class Senator and Treasurer for the Tufts Community Union Senate, overseeing club funding for over 400 student organizations. Michael is also a former Deputy News Editor at The Tufts Daily and a staff writer for The Tufts Tribune, where he explored his interests in journalistic writing and campus engagement through investigative coverage. Outside of campus, he has pursued his interest in the legal field and financial services through legal casework and executive search and leadership advisory. Michael works as a program evaluation, communications, and research assistant for CEVIHE.

Jack Smart is a junior at Tufts University, double-majoring in International Relations with a focus on the Middle East and Arabic Language & Cultural Studies. His academic interests span regional power dynamics, AI’s role in the future of global affairs, and AI law and policy. Outside the classroom, Jack is a photographer — running his own business, Smartflics, and shooting for Tufts Athletics — alongside playing sports like golf, ultimate frisbee, and board games with friends. Jack works as a photographer for CEVIHE.

Santiago Tijerina leads The Children’s Initiative, a small nonprofit working in rural Honduras to keep children safe, in school, and out of paths of violence, early marriage, and gang recruitment. He tells the stories behind that work, using documentary film and photography to turn program outcomes into support from funders like the Ochylski Family Foundation. His short film, “Courts of Belonging,” on immigrant youth and futsal in Portland, won the Emerging Maine Filmmaker Award and aired on Maine Public Television. He holds certifications in Child Protection Minimum Standards and the International Normative Framework in Humanitarian Protection. Santiago is now pursuing a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he is a John Moors Cabot Fellow researching resilience among rural and indigenous Honduran girls. He is a graduate of the University of Maine, summa cum laude, and holds a certificate in documentary filmmaking from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
